Happy 60th!

Over Memorial day weekend we got to celebrate Grandmother and Granddad's 60th anniversary in Malad.  It was good to be up there with them to celebrate.  I do wish the drive wasn't so long however ;)  While we were there we had lunch and every person was able to tell Grandmother and Granddad why they love them and to share memories of them.  Jaden was short and sweet with his memories.  Claire and Maelyn went up there together and yodeled because Grandmother is a huge yodeler.  A couple months back while Grandmother was visiting Grandma Z at our house, Claire told Grandmother a knock-knock joke.  The joke was Knock-Knock, who's there, you old lady, you old lady who (in a yodeling voice).  After the joke Claire and Grandmother sat there and yodeled for a while.  Grandmother taught Claire a little song and that is what Claire sang at their anniversary.

After the little sharing memories thing, Grandmother and Granddad had a traditional wedding cake that they cut.  When they got married they never had a reception so they never had a wedding cake and they never had a "first dance".  So they did those fun things at their 60th anniversary.  

 

I'm not sure if I have a picture with my whole family with Grandmother and Granddad.  I have pictures of them at blessings and baptisms but not with me and my kids.  We made sure to take that opportunity while we were there.  I'm so lucky to have Grandmother and Granddad as grandparents.  They have been such a great example to me throughout my life.  They are always so supportive of me and my family.  Sixty years is a long time to be together and it is inspiring to see them together.  You can tell they still love and respect each other.  Congratulations and love you guys!
