March Madness

March was the month of sporting events for us.  With Claire doing gymnastics for almost 2 years, we thought it was about time to go see the Utes at a gymnastics meet.  We actually went to two different meets.  The first one we went as a family (minus the teenaged boy).  Claire loved every minute of the meet.  Maelyn had a good time because she is good anywhere she goes.  I could tell she wasn't super impressed but it was still fun to have the girls there together.  

Claire and I went to the second gymnastics meet a couple weeks later.  Claire really wanted to sit in the lower bowl of the stadium because she wanted to be on the big TV display.  You know how they show people dancing in the crowd?  That's what she wanted to do, be on the big TV.  We got to sit in the lower bowl but it was on the top row so unfortunately Claire didn't get to be on the TV.  Maybe next year!  Claire even made a friend while we were there.  She makes friends wherever she goes.  This was such a fun meet to go to.  It was the last one of the Utes season and on the last event one of the girls actually scored a perfect 10.  So much fun!

The following week we were able to get free tickets to a Jazz game.  Corbin got a bunch of tickets from work so we invited Mindy and Darren's family and Claire's friend, Caisa.  It's been a while since we've been to a Jazz game.  Actually we've never been to a Jazz game all together at once so it was fun to do that.   All the kids had a ton of fun especially because of all the treats they got :)  Claire didn't like one thing though.  She didn't like that when the crowd booed at the opposing team when they were shooting free throws.  She thought it was quite rude and got kind of upset about it.  Quite hilarious if you ask me!
