Girls trip- Part 2

We stayed pretty busy while we were in Arizona.....

The girls got to go swimming and they loved it!

We visited the Museum of Miniatures which is a museum of that showcases these miniature houses.  There were so many of these little houses and the details in them were amazing.  Apparently building these houses is a hobby for people.  It is really hard to see in pictures how small the little details are.  I held my hand up to one of them to give an idea of the scale.  It was a cool museum to go to but I don't know if it is worth the money going back :)

The next day we visited the San Xavier mission which is super close to Taylor and Kali's house.  It is always fascinating to visit old cathedrals like this.  This was the first time my girls have been to a place like this.  I'm not quite sure they appreciated the history and architecture like I did.  Claire was a little freaked out with the statue in the casket ( Kali could explain who it is supposed to be and what is but I kind of forgot)

The day after the mission we went up to Madera canyon.  We were going to go on a hike but Kali, who was pregnant at the time, was having contractions.  Because it was way to early to be having contractions like that, we just drove up to the canyon and took a very short, very slow, walk.  The girls had a blast even if it was short.  There is something about being in the mountains that is so calming and fun for kids.

Maelyn and Claire were seriously having a blast together.  They found this concrete ledge and did a singing performance for me.

Our last day in Arizona we spent relaxing around Kali's house.  Claire was loving hanging out with Maren.  She thought she was so cute and it was so fun to have younger cousin following her around.

That night we went out to dinner.  It was close to Claire's birthday so we decided to celebrate.  We went to a yummy restaurant called Claim Jumper.  Maren didn't want her dinner too much.  She just wanted to eat Kali's enormous sandwich!

After dinner we went back to Taylor and Kali's for some cake and ice cream.  Claire even got a present that she LOVED.

We had a great time in Arizona.  It was the perfect get away for us and it was so much fun to spend time with Taylor and Kali's family.  I wish they lived a little closer!
