Blue and Gold
Last week Jaden had his Blue and Gold banquet for scouts. It was a celebration of 100 years of scouting. Because of it being a birthday party for scouting we had a pizza party and a cake decorating contest. The boys, along with their dads, decorated birthday cakes. Mom's weren't allowed to help decorate the cakes but they could come up with an idea so I did. Jaden's cake was decorated like a present. The cake that won was a cake decorated like boys camping. It was amazing probably because this boys mom decorates cake for a living. She said she didn't help at all but looking at the cake makes you wonder. It was a fun and long night of silly boys and a hyper toddler (Claire). The super sugary blue juice didn't help with the hyper active kids.
Last week my brother and his wife had a cute little baby boy. They named him Conner. I was able to take some pictures at the hospital and these two are my favorite. Congratulations Brandon and Mallory!

Great job on the cake, Jaden! It looked great. Not so sure about the one that won, either. Is the cake the tent?--mostly saw cardboard.

What a beautiful baby! Good job on the pics. I especially love that first one. Good idea to have boys/dads decorate a cake too. Looked like a lot of fun.
