We headed up to Kaysville for all the traditional festivities. Christmas Eve wouldn't be the same without eating a dinner called "mountain" (kind of like hawaiian haystacks). Also it wouldn't be the same without the kids acting out the manger scene. We had to draw names with all the girls again this year because they all fight over who gets to be Mary and the angels. Mara got the chance this year to be Mary. Bridger is the only boy who is young enough to be Joseph. Jaden and Parker are "way too old" and "too cool" to participate.
After the Christmas story the kids got to open their Christmas Eve present from Grandma. All my kids got books. We love books around here!

Before all the festivities started I took a few pictures out in the backyard. Luckily we were able to find a place in the shade!
It was good to spend Christmas Eve with all the Hoenes' (minus Kirsten and Taylor's family). It is loud and chaotic with all of us together but it is definitely fun!

Again, so glad you bring your camera and take pictures. It is so fun to see the children all dressed up and most of them enjoying it! You got some really great pictures. Also, the family pictures were wonderful. I know both the families are so grateful!
